A very special event in aid of a very special person – Solomon @solomonsjourneyahc

Solomon was born with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC) which is a rare neurological disease affecting 1 in 100,000.

AHC causes episodes of paralysis, dystonia and nystagmus. These episodes come on without warning, and Solomon looses the ability to walk, crawl or even sit up. Sometimes the episodes are so strong he even has to fight just to breath and changes colour, and becomes blueish in his face and lips. As you can imagine this is very scary and life threatening.

Every AHC episode runs the risk of brain damage, regression and even death. So far there is no cure, and very little can be done. There is no money going to research due to the how rare this disease is. So we are donating all the money from this event to @cureahc who are funding research to find a cure + how we can maximise these special peoples quality of life.

His dad Ben @tigertemplebrighton with be facilitating 15 minute sessions of mindful movement to articulate the joints and stretch/fire the muscles involved in breathing and the movement of the diaphragm followed by a short calming breath practice. Ben is an incredible human who practises and teaches martial arts yoga, mediation, boxing, taekwondo and is @oxygenadvangtage trained too.

We are hosting community sessions from 2-7pm + they include a 15minute session with Ben before your sauna.
