Benefits of a Sauna
There are many benefits of sauna-ing, here are a few….
Makes a happy + healthy heart.
Studies have proven using a sauna 4-7 times a week reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease by up to 58%. The heat also helps widen blood vessels and improves circulation which in turn reduces blood pressure.
Supercharges your cells.
Heat has proven to positively impact your mitochondria (the batteries that power your cells) helping your body naturally produce more energy. This can help you to stay fit and can also help to slow down the ageing process!
Boosts your immune system.
Exposure to heat stimulates the body’s natural immune system and can help detoxify and excrete toxins. It has also shown to increase metabolism, helping with weight loss and reduction in body fat.
Improve athletic performance.
Heat conditioning sends more blood to the heart. As more blood flows and more oxygen is delivered throughout the body, this fuels athletic performance and can increase muscle function and recovery.
Increase your brain power.
Regular sauna use activates the growth of new brain cells and can improve its function in learning and memory. Studies have also shown using a sauna 4-7 times a week reduces the likelihood of developing dementia by 66%.
Care for your mental health.
Time spent simply sitting, talking, and connecting with friends + family, sharing an experience with no distractions increases your endorphins, and benefits your overall mood and emotional health.
